Seni

Seni Khat atau Kaligrafi merupakan kemahiran atau seni penulisan cantik. Jurukhat lazimnya menggunakan berus dan dakwat untuk menulis / melukis aksara-aksara atau perkataan-perkataan yang penuh dengan nilai estetik. Seni khat Cina amat terkenal dan disanjungi.

The prefix "calli" originates from the Greek 希腊语 xī là yǔ word "kalos" (which also has the derivation "kaleido"), meaning beautiful 美丽 měi lì.

The suffix "graphy" has the meaning of diagram or picture 图 tú.

Calligraphy 书法 shū fǎ is the skill or art of beautiful handwriting 手写 shǒu xiě.

Chinese calligraphers 书法 家 shū fǎ jiā would usually use brush and ink 刷子和墨水 shuā zi hé mò shuǐ to draw/write beautiful pictorial characters or words with aesthetic value 审美价值 shěn měi jià zhí. Chinese calligraphy 书法 shū fǎ is well known 著名 zhù míng and sought after. It (Chinese calligraphy) also established the specific order of how Chinese Hanzi strokes are written.
